‘Now is good’ is about a 16-year old girl named Tessa, she is a girl dying of leukemia, she made a list of things she’d like to do before passing away. Topping the list is her desire to lose her virginity.

I found the Mother interesting because in the story it says that she is supporting Tessa, but she is barely at the hospital taking care of her daughter who is dying. so it made me think if she was one reason why Tessa was doing all this bad behaviour for, to get her mothers attention.

The message I took from this was to not let anyone or anything stand in your way of achieving something that you really want. Also to make sure you know what your getting into.

Everyone is trying their best to support her with what she is going through, but she is making it difficult for them because of what she wants to do.

I thought that it was an appropriate title for this text because, she was diagnosed with leukemia and she didn’t have much of a chance to live than die, because it is something you can’t always fix and she wouldn’t have enough time to achieve the things she wants in the future, so she tried to achieve them in the time that she has which was now.

I would recommend this to those who are also going through the tough times like she is, to see if there is anything good in here that could help them with what they are going through.

I thought she was being quite selfish on how she wants to live her life, for example when she was throwing stuff out of the house without her parents permission or when she was stealing from a store she didn’t know what she was doing, but she also didn’t think about the effects that it might have on her family after what she did or even when she thought that she could use her diagnose to get away with the trouble she has made.
